The rating of countries with the most aggressive drivers periodically includes all countries whose residents take part in the survey. After a year of work, traffic experts at the American Institute came to a disappointing conclusion, which applies not only to motorists around the world, but also to all residents - the culture of human behavior in society is steadily declining. And the behavior of the driver behind the wheel is just a detail.

Throughout the summer of 2018, Great Britain held the palm in boorish attitude towards colleagues on the road and pedestrians, while London taxi drivers were recognized as the most aggressive.

In September, Foggy Albion was ousted by French drivers (affected by the centuries-old rivalry between countries), who outstripped the British in the number of complaints for aggressive behavior on the road (76 and 78 percent, respectively). What is the ranking of the countries with the most aggressive drivers today?

When compiling the rating, first of all, it was not the fact of poor driving, the creation of accidents, etc., but the attitude of the participants in the incident to everything that happened. If, for example, in Morocco, two drivers make a terrible scandal on the road and after two minutes make up and the satisfied go about their business without further complaints, this was not taken into account as an indicator of aggressiveness. The only fact was taken as a basis - if the participants in the road incident continued to complain about the driver's inappropriate behavior and left the car with a bitter sense of resentment or claims.

1. United Kingdom

In Europe, the first place in terms of aggressiveness is occupied by British drivers - they receive the largest number of complaints. On average, every London taxi driver has three complaints about his inappropriate behavior, which his employer receives.

Of the 20,000 drivers surveyed, 80% said that they receive insults from other drivers every day and that their car is blocked in the parking lot at least once every three days. There were no paragraphs in the survey: how many times a day you insult your neighbors on the road and how many times you yourself have blocked the exit of other motorists.

The further the tourist moves away from the capital, the more tolerant English drivers become. Experts believe that such a critical level of aggression on the roads of London is associated primarily with the overpopulation of the city. But then what about Bombay or Delhi, where there are two (!) People per square meter of city square, the roads are like an anthill, shouting, noise and signals drown out conversations, and at the same time, Indians are more benevolent and leave the city streets more often with a smile, what with abuse?

2. Italy and Dominican Republic

In Italy, before getting a driver's license, they undergo special training and pass exams for the right to drive a car. In the Dominican Republic, nobody cares about your rights at all.

The descendants of noble Romans are not allowed to drive after two glasses of wine; in the Dominican Republic there is no law at all that prohibits drunken driving.

Italians are proud of their European roads, and Dominicans never even ask which roads they drive. But in terms of the number of aggressive drivers, these are the twin countries - Italy and the Dominican Republic occupy the "honorable" second place in the rating.

Risky turns, constant races on the sidewalks on the feet of pedestrians, parking wherever you want, a large number of motorcyclists who do not have a law at all and selective swearing - this is what residents of these two completely different countries face every day.

3. USA

The culture of behavior of the inhabitants of America is visible only on the TV screen, when in the next series very polite truck drivers very culturally run over an unsuccessfully parked jeep. In fact, the aggressiveness of American drivers is well known to both the citizens of the country and tourists. Even temperamental and freedom-loving Mexicans on their disgusting roads show much more respect and support to colleagues on the track.

For example, New Yorkers are not as loudly rude as the British, but for them it is in the order of things to push a passerby with a bumper and drive by; when parking, "push apart" neighboring cars with a kangarin; show an indecent gesture, etc.

Interesting fact - Taxi drivers are recognized as the most polite drivers in New Yorkperhaps because 70 percent of the employees of the world's most famous and largest taxi company are immigrants.

4. France

Where does all the charm of French men and the charm of Parisian women go when they are driving their car? In the first place comes aggressive behavior and outright rudeness. About 50% of the twenty thousand French residents surveyed speak of insults from drivers.

Nearly 40% of respondents say their cars have been blocked on average once a month on the roads of Paris, their bumper has been smashed or their front wheel has been damaged.

The opinion that men under 30 are the most aggressive is not confirmed in France. The most aggressive are ... women from Paris aged 25 to 49 years and men after 50 years.

5. Jamaica

Jamaican drivers have dropped from the honorable first place in the ranking, which they occupied throughout 2017, to fifth for unknown reasons. Either it became dangerous to conduct a survey in the country, or the locals got tired of complaining about aggressive drivers and they just started beating them ...

But! In a picturesque country, only 30% of ten thousand respondents, among whom there were many tourists, declared aggression from the drivers. This is rudeness, insults and obscene gestures. This allowed Jamaica to take fifth place in the rankings.

6. Czech Republic and Ukraine

Czech and Ukrainian drivers show almost the same level of aggression on the road. Out of ten thousand respondents, every fourth respondent said that he systematically encounters rudeness on the road. Drivers do not pass when overtaking, show indecent gestures (in this regard, the scandal with the former speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, to whom the head of the special unit of the traffic police of Ukraine "Cobra" showed his middle finger on the road, is recalled) and openly insult.

The only difference is the age of the boors. If in the Czech Republic these are drivers of all ages, then in Ukraine in 90% of cases these are young people of both sexes up to 35 years old. Congratulations, Slavs - your "honorable" sixth place.

7. Egypt

Once on the streets of Cairo, it becomes unclear whether Egyptian drivers are taught the rules of the road in general. But aggressive driving and aggressive behavior are different things.

If on the roads of Saudi Arabia it is customary to drive at exorbitant speeds, cut off neighbors, swear loudly and be pleased at the same time, then in Egypt this is not customary.

A tourist country is obliged to provide first-class service, but not rudeness on the road, from which tourists lose all desire to come here a second time.

Cairo's drivers are ranked last due to the number of complaints from all road users - 23% of all respondents. Here, not only is it not customary to give change in a taxi, but also to be polite towards neighbors.

And, finally, the most inept and at the same time friendly drivers - hello, China!

Chinese drivers have become the talk of the town in all countries. These are the most inept drivers in the world. Detachment from the hustle and bustle and carelessness do not allow the Chinese to become an active participant in the road traffic. But their friendliness, calmness and ability to find a compromise make them desirable on the roads of all countries.
